This resulted in the entire species needing to travel across the universe in order to live on another planet until their planet recovered. The Tamagotchi all lived on the Tamagotchi Planet until one of them, Oyajitchi, ended up making their planet drunk. However, even though the toy itself wouldn’t have a story on its own, Tamagotchi did have a backstory with characters that the toy itself was a part of. Since the product is nothing more than a Virtual Pet with a few pixels to show the characters, the toy itself would not have a story on its own, focusing only on taking care of one of the various virtual pets.
